Satinwood dressing chest and stool circa 1790
Made in 2007 from satinwood, mahogany and ebonized pear.
The two large draws have dovetail joints, panel bottoms, mahogany and ebonized pear banding with
satinwood beading and imitation locks with a removable key. The top centre draw has a leather
reading/writing slope. The small top draws have adjustable mirrors attached (polished steel).
The left draw has a small draw in the side and four covered compartments. The right draw has a letter
compartment and several small compartments. All draws have cast brass handles.
The carcass is made from satinwood and pear, it has an inlayed mahogany oval in the top. Ebonized
stringing around the feet and apron, a panel back and panel dust sheets.

Satinwood stool
The stool is made from satinwood with ebonized stringing around the legs and apron. The top has a
deep buttoned seat made with silk and brass pins around the edge.
